It was more a case that I had a long lens on my camera and had to shoot from that vantage point with no room to back up. A little close but not unnerving. After 10 years of shooting grizzly at this time of year you find most are too busy eating. Plus several are desensitize to people unfortunately, as this one is. But one should never take these for granted. Very fast movers. I will give your idea a shot and see what happens. The mouth I felt give additional action and adrenaline to the shot.

I don't think being close to a grizzly is a good thing! Cropping this shot to just the paws holding what's left of the fish may be a better image - just my thought..

Description
A grizzly chows down on a Kokanee salmon with great gusto! I was way too close to get the entire head in!
